Remember Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears’ Nasty Feud?

amie Lynn Spears says her relationship with Britney Spears hasn’t been easy, but they have managed to work through the feud that the media made public during the end of Britney’s conservatorship.
“Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing,” Jamie Lynn said during a recent installment of U.K. reality TV show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! “We’ve had very complicated circumstances, and we both had to deal with them in different ways.”
Britney and Jamie Lynn’s fight went public in 2021. At that time, Britney was struggling to end her controversial conservatorship, which gave her father, Jamie, executive power over her. The singer had asked a judge for a release several times. Her wish was finally granted in November 2021.
Before she gained autonomy, Britney began a battle with her immediate family, claiming they had been profiting off her circumstances. Jaime Lynn told the public she had her sister’s best interest at heart, but Britney challenged that sentiment after Jamie Lynn published her memoir Things I Should Have Said in January 2022.
“As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalizing on it,” Britney wrote in her own memoir, The Woman in Me, which dropped in late October. “She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.”
Jamie Lynn Admits She and Britney Spears Took Their Frustrations Out on Each Other
Despite the very recent accusations, Jamie Lynn insists she and Britney Spears have mended ways.
“She’s a good big sister, she is. Yeah, I love her,” Jamie Lynn continued on the reality show. “Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, families fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.”
Jamie Lynn admitted that their childhood star upbringing made for a difficult relationship. They were often at each other’s throats because of personal struggles, and their bond has taken hits because of that. But they’re the only two people who can empathize with the situation, so they’ve always managed to work through their differences.
“Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have,” she admitted. “I’ve never, ever… I’ve been the one person in her life – and she can say this – I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, ‘I just want to be your sister’.”
“We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people,” added Jamie Lynn. “But at the end of the road, I know that that’s my family, I love them.”
